Condensate drain - protection against mould

Cd20, our automatic condensate-drain, protects BC20 from the moulding of condensate inside the sampling hose. Condensate always moulds, when low ambient temperature cools moist biogas on its way from the measuring point to BC20.

The condensate is separated from biogas and collects in a container that is emptied automatically via a hose pump. If, in case of malfunction, more condensate accumulates than the hose pump can remove at short notice, a safety valve closes the gas path to BC20 and thus prevents the destruction of the gas sensors.

Cd20 is then the correct choice, if ambient temperature cannot fall below +1°C, e.g. in buildings. If there is danger of frost, we recommend using our condensate pit CS20.
